Born in Israel, Yamit Lemoine began her classical training in voice and violin at the age of five. She was raised in Toronto, where she developed her love for Jazz, Soul, Blues and Broadway styles. Since then, Yamit studied voice with many respected artists, acquired her Music and Theater education at York University (Toronto), as well as her Audio Engineering education at SAE Miami.
While living in New York City, Yamit performed regularly with local Jazz musicians, and when moving to Miami, she immersed herself in the world of Musical Theater. Through her multiple talents in the performing arts Yamit has participated at notable events and venues as a performer, director, musical director and producer abroad the United States, Canada and Israel. Yamit wrote, directed and locally produced her new musical “Making Angels” in Miami just as the Miami Jazz scene was beginning to flourish once again, and then she jumped right back into Jazz.
At the onset of 2014, Yamit began leading her own Jazz ensemble Vinyl Blvd, building her audience and dedicated fan base. She is currently in the final process of producing and recording Vinyl Blvd’s debut album with a release date of Autumn 2017. Yamit regularly performs as a vocalist and violinist in Miami and abroad.
